I’m gonna go on a rant here. I’ve been in the Bleach fandom for awhile now, and I’m just really sick of all the hateful and spiteful fans that I’ve come across. It didn’t usually bug me so much, but awhile ago, a friend of mine created an anti-Ichiruki!romance/pro-Ichiruki!nakama website that a lot of you have probably heard about, as well as the ensuing wank that came about over an altered fanart. First off, none of us knew that it had been altered, it was the first time I had ever seen the fanart. The owner of the original work found it and didn’t even bother to ask us to take it down, instead, she posted an extremely hateful blog against Ichihime fans accusing us of stealing her artwork (the funniest thing about this is the owner, my friend, doesn’t even ship Ichihime and there isn’t even an Ichihime thread on the whole site), and even after we took the artwork down and apologized she continued to spread shit about us. It eventually died down after the owner of the artwork blocked my friend instead of accepting the apology. However, just recently another infamous IR fanbrat posted another blog calling my friend a “self-righteous pompous bitch” for making the website and using the altered artwork. A lot of the members went to my friend defense and told this person off for not being mature enough to just let it go and forgive and forget. Which she didn’t, of course, infact she even went as far as attacking my friends personal life and tried starting an argument with us by saying, “you overestimate the importance of Ichihime, and underestimate the canoness of Ichiruki”, none of the members took the goad and just told her that none of us cared anymore, we were just pissed because she attacked our friend’s personal life. She eventually deleted the blog and went around acting like the victim… although, this time, none of her “cronies” came to her defense. I’m usually not effected by this stuff, but it’s at the point where I’ve had a few of my friends messaging me in tears over shit these bitches are saying. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to bring someones personal life into an argument over shipping, and sometimes I just sit there feeling like complete shit because of how hurtful some of these people’s posts and blogs are.
With all of that said though, I want to tell all of you Ichihime shippers just how much I appreciate you as a whole for not stepping down to the level of these fanbrats and enjoying our wonderful ship peacefully :)
Let me guess. Yulie? Or was it Debbie? Or maybe another IchiRuki/UlquiHime/IshiHime fanbrat from Bleachness/BA/Deathberry?
This shit is so unbelievable I don’t even know what to tell you. I knew they were nasty and malicious, but that much? If it’s the same people who I think did this, then that makes it all so much more disgusting.
If the bullying goes that far, block them in every way you can. Even though they’ll probably still talk shit about you in their locked communities (the fact that they bashed me with screenshots and links of my posts from two years ago pretty much confirms that), if it affects you so much (understandably!) you need to get rid of them.
I just hope the victim doesn’t feel lonely. This bullshit has happened (and still happens) quite a lot. There have been other victims of their bashing and some of them have been openly (and privately) bashed for years for simply not taking their shit.
